Elephant Walk

Remembering Good Times
Before the last home football game, the seniors gather for the annual Elephant Walk. They visit all the important historical locations on campus to remember good times and friends before wandering off to some secluded spot as if to await the coming of death as old "elephants". This event is symbolic of the fact that as former students, they will never again stand as a part of the student portion of the famed Twelfth Man.

Back in our days on campus this event happened before Final Review. Since we were the class of '72, our Elephant Walk ocurred 72 days before Final Review. Typically, we walked in a long line, one-behind another, holding our arms to our face, our arms symbolizing an elephant's trunk.
